Artist's thoughts... These Hydrangea Study paintings are a fun deviation from traditional brushes.  I painted with a thickened pigment and a homemade palette knife! This one in particular I took a little bit further. I almost named in something like 'A Day on the Farm' because, if you look closely, there is a barn and pasture of quietly grazing cows in the reflection of the porch windows.  I decided on 'Reflections' because there could be a double meaning...reflections in the window as well as an invitation to sit in the rocking chair and reflect on life. This painting can be grouped as a triptych with 'Hydrangea Study 29' and 'Hydrangea Study 30'.
