'Areca Palm' - The subject is the Areca Palm, or Butterfly Palm tree. It is indigenous to the continent of Africa. Hand lettered in the areas of water are the names of other palm trees that are also indigenous to Africa. Longitudinal and latitudinal lines are correctly placed. The plant family name and origin are incorporated into the African design border.
'Royal Palm' or 'Mexican Fan Palm' - The subject is the Mexican Fan Palm, or the Thread Palm palm tree. It is indigenous to north western Mexico. Hand lettered in the areas of water are the names of other palm trees that are also indigenous to that area. Longitudinal and latitudinal lines are correctly placed. The plant family name and origin are incorporated into the Mexican design border.
Fine art prints are created from my original paintings in my studio using archival paper and archival inks. Wood panels are hand-painted and textured. The prints are applied to the wood panels and sealed with acrylic gels and finishes. As a finishing touch, the title of the painting, my website and initials are all neatly displayed on the back of the wood panel.
